The PAUL Award 2022
Today, the FED is once again announcing the PAUL Award, where young people enthusiastic about electronics can submit projects.
Today, on January 21, 2021, the professional association for Design, PCB & electronics manufacturing (FED) is announcing the next PAUL Award, in which young electronics enthusiasts between the ages of 15 and 25 can submit projects. The second PAUL Award, which has now been announced, focuses on projects in the areas of smart energy and energy harvesting, after the previous PAUL Award covered the topics of smart home and smart clothing.
After submitting the projects via a form, they are checked for compliance with the competition rules/terms of participation, after which work can begin on actually implementing the project.
January 15 is then the deadline for the project documentation, which is to be created as part of the project implementation. In addition, a short video should be produced showing the functionality of the project. The project video will not be judged and will also not be published.

In summer 2022, the winners will then be honored in Berlin, and all participants in the competition will be invited there. The main prize is 3,000 euros, second prize is 2,000 euros, and third prize is 1,000 euros.
As a participant in the first PAUL Award, I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone considering taking part in the award to submit a project: you learn a lot and have an opportunity to present your project idea to the world; as far as I know, this opportunity is almost unique in the German-speaking world.
